Hi Candy
I really enjoyed your show at the Arts Centre recently. I encouraged some friends of mine to see it and they really enjoyed it too! Thought you might be interested in reading my review of it here http://www.melhotornot.com/2009/09/30/chik-arts-centre/
I really enjoyed the show very much. It was very funny and was coming straight from your heart. Your message was loud and clear. I am more proud of being brown after watching your show.I am proud of being part of the show as well. Congratulations for an absolutely stunning performance. Keep up the good work Candy!
Loved it, the journey of who you are, where your from and who you are now was amazing to hear and see, it was a privilege to come along for the ride, no doubt more to come……
Also the music, the beats, the mixing and the words were just so powerful, it was fantastic!
Congratulations…….
A powerful show, that uses the combination of great beats, visual stimulation through the stage and videos, to bring alive the senses. Candy’s ability to mix humour with the pain of parts of her journey of life is unique and a talent that I always enjoy watching. Love the show – and have seen it many times! Keep up the amazing work BROWN lady xx
I laughed and cried. What a moving engagement with human trials and challenges set in the context of Australia’s shockingly racist perspectives. I enjoyed te show immensely, it has the power that deeply felt personal experiences bring it. I recommend this show for youth too, to engage in understanding and build empathy for the challenges of people of other races and backgrounds.
I think the whole show was just fantastic I could watch it over n over again great story line, also a great performance from miss candy B n love the hip hop songs :) keep up the deadly work! So glad i got to see such an amazing show! Your so BLAZIN xx

Hi Candy, I tried to email but maybe didn’t get through. We LOVED your show at SOTE in Warwick a week ago – the children loved it and so did we teachers. We thought you were inspirational in your content and in your delivery – great talent used in a great way! Congratulations! Are you available for a workshop sometime? I’ll email you again with my details, otherwise if you had time to ring the school office (4661 2666) and ask for me maybe we could schedule something. Well done again, and we’ll speak soon hopefully.
Thanks again, Bernadine Bradshaw (music teacher).
Hey, I just saw your show today at Tully and I thought it was definately entertaining and also is amazing that you are helping to convey the message across of anti-discrimination towards different races. I’m sure that there will be lots of people not just from my school but across this entire state that will see you as an inspiration and role model
Thanks Janine, your feedback is awesome. It’s such a taboo or touchy subject so it’s great to hear from you. All the best sweet.
